William Gallas has backed Chelsea to comfortably win the Premier League title this season and admitted they are just getting ‘stronger and stronger’ under Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues have started the new season with four wins and a draw from their opening five games after adding Romelu Lukaku and Saul Niguez to their already star-studded squad from last season.

Chelsea are aiming to lift the Premier League title this season for the first time since 2016 following on from their Champions League triumph last term.

Gallas, who played 159 times for the west London club, believes that the Blues have what it takes to win the league this season and admitted that he can’t see how any other team can beat them.

‘They are the champions of Europe. They look stronger and stronger. If they are really focused they can beat any records, especially now they have Lukaku. This is a scary team for any opponent to play,’ he said exclusively to GentingBet.

Manchester United fans may think they have a stronger team with Ronaldo back, but if you take every player position by position then I believe Chelsea is stronger than United.

‘I really can’t see any club that can beat them. Tuchel is a perfectionist and he always has a tactical plan.

‘Whenever he plays against the league’s best managers, he always finds the solution. Chelsea can win the Premier League, definitely.’

Chelsea play host to current league champions Manchester City on Saturday, hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the new season, as well as getting one over on arguably their closest title rivals.
