Arsenal visit French side Angers for their penultimate pre-season fixture and will be hoping to improve on their defeat to Lyon last time out.
Lyon’s Moussa Dembele highlighted the evident weaknesses in Arsenal’s defence, and Unai Emery will be hoping to iron out any issues prior to his team’s Premier League season opener against Newcastle .
The Gunners have had a mixed pre-season campaign thus far, having won three out of the five games they’ve played.
However their wins have included a promising victory over a relatively strong Bayern Munich side, as well as a comfortable 3-0 win over Fiorentina.
Meanwhile Angers have also won three out of their five pre-season games, and enter this clash with similar form to their opponents, as they come off the back of a loss against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Arsenal are favourites to overcome the French side, who finished 13th in Ligue 1 last season, but with the season almost upon us, it should make for an interesting encounter.
