RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) – High school students get in touch with their business side at Western Dakota Tech.

Western Dakota Tech hosted a Business and Tech camp for 35 high-school students to show them business, marketing and accounting.

Most students say they did not know how important it is to use social media in business and personal branding.

The students even learned eating etiquette to prepare them for a future business dinner.

One student says though she wants to become a pharmacist but the topics she learned today is making her change her mind.

“I’m actually thinking I’m probably going to do business. Just cause it’s a good second nature to like know especially as an adult. Some of the stuff like even if you weren’t in business you should know so,” Catherine Haar, Stevens High School student, said.

She learned the importance of finance and says she will sign up for an accounting class in the future no matter what.
