CHICO — An exciting evening of singing, opera and love awaits audiences attending the “Four Italian Tenors” program at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Laxson Auditorium on the Chico State campus.
Chico Performances said it is pleased to be a part of the four youthful Italian tenors who are embarked on their first U.S. tour. Titled “Viva Italia,” their program is a salute to four great Italian tenors: Enrico Caruso, Mario Lanza, Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli.
Audiences can be transformed to the land of Italy and bathe in its rich culture with the sounds of the Four Italian Tenors. The songs and arrangements have been created especially for their U.S. debut tour.
The four tenors — Alessandro D’Acrissa, Federico Serra, Federico Parisi and Giovanni Maria Palmia — perform some of the world’s greatest music written for the tenor voice.
In wonderful unique arrangements, familiar songs such as “Ave Maria,” “Funiculi, Funieula” and “O Solo Mio” are sung with a captivating, exhilarating, passionate and engaging performance. The program encore is a rousing rendition of Verdi’s “Brindisi” (drinking song from La Traviata).
Individual tickets are $45 premium, $37 adults, $35 seniors (age 65 and over), $15 youth and Chico State students.
Tickets are on sale at chicoperformances.com, in person at the University Box Office on the corner of West Third and Chestnut Streets in Chico and over the phone at 898-6333.
