Veterans memorial work day planned | News, Sports, Jobs – The Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

The St. Armand Veterans Memorial Park Task Force is holding a Flower Bed Work Day at Veterans Memorial Park, 1688 state Route 3, Bloomingdale on Saturday, Oct. 2, starting at 9 a.m. Water and snacks will be provided.

If anyone would like to join us, we will be installing a new multi-tiered flower bed at the far end of the park. Each tier is 2 feet wide, 45 feet long in back, 30 feet long on sides,18 inches tall in back, 12 inches tall in front. We will also be installing perennial shrubs in back and sides of the new flower bed. We will also be working on the sign flower bed at the front of the park.

We are also looking for donations of perennial plants. If you have plants that you would like to donate, please drop them off at Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. If that time does not work for you, please give us a call at 518-637-9185 to arrange another drop off time.

This is the first step in creating the new St. Armand Veterans Memorial!

Many hands make light work!

We are so truly grateful for your support! Best regards,
