U.K.'s May Paves Way for Brexit Delay

LONDON—Prime Minister Theresa May agreed Tuesday to allow Parliament to delay the U.K.’s exit from the European Union if lawmakers again reject her divorce agreement with the bloc, making it almost certain the country won’t leave on schedule next month.

The move, which the prime minister has long resisted, is the latest shift by the British government as Mrs. May struggles to break an impasse in the U.K. Parliament over the withdrawal agreement she negotiated with the EU last year.
