Following is a list of July events in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the greater Triangle area. Many events will be held in person as organizers are returning to live events.

Application Deadline: UNC TraCS $2,000 Pilot Grant Program

UNC’s North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS) offers $2,000 grants to support researchers as they move forward with innovative studies and research projects. Submissions are accepted every month.

1 Million Cups RTP

July 21, 9-10 a.m. (online)

1 Million Cups, presented by Kauffman, is a weekly informal pitch event for the startup community. Join for free coffee and entrepreneurial support as local startups deliver their presentations.

NCSEA Making Energy Work Webinar Series

July 21, 2 p.m. (online)

The NC Sustainable Energy Association is hosting its Making Energy Work webinar series throughout the spring and summer. This session will focus on the challenges and opportunities in rooftop solar across the Carolinas.

National AgTech Forum

July 21, 4-6:30 p.m. (online)

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center, together with AgLaunch and AgStart, is hosting a series of monthly events with experts sharing their perspectives on key agtech industry topics. This month’s event will feature a discussion on food innovation safety.

Raleigh Chamber State of the City, County & Schools 2021

July 22, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. @Sheraton Raleigh Hotel

In this event, attendees will hear policy updates from Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin and leaders from Wake County’s Board of Commissioners and Board of Education. A Q&A session will follow.

LaunchBio’s The Big Pitch Virtual Competition
