'Tracker': Release date, cast, official trailer, people behind this CBS crime thriller



Based on the first of four Colter Shaw novels, ‘The Never Game’, by award-winning author Jeffrey Deaver, ‘Tracker’ is expected to take the audience to a new level of crime and mystery genre. It is coming on the heels of the psychological thriller mystery ‘A Murder at the End of the World’ and Season 4 of ‘True Detective: Night Country’. While Emma Corrin was praised for her nuanced portrayal of amateur detective in the former, Jodie Foster and Kali Reis appeared as detectives Danvers and Navarro. Tracker is coming as a fascinating genre series with Colter Shaw, a loner with uncanny tracking skills.

Release Date

‘Tracker’ will premiere in the US on Sunday, February 11. Keeping in mind the Superbowl, it will be aired after one of the biggest sporting events is held. It will follow a weekly release schedule which will have a total of 13 episodes. All of the episodes will be broadcast simultaneously on CTV in Canada.

Justin Hartley will play Colter Shaw, a loner and survivalist with uncanny tracking skills. Other members of the cast include Mary McDonnell as Mary Dove Shaw, Lee Tergesen as Ashton Shaw, Oscar Chark as Craig Riley, Eric Graise as Bob Exley, Nicole Anthony as Ms. Hicks, and Matthew Nelson-Mahood as Russell Shaw. Abby McEnany will join them as Velma Bruin, Jeremy Jones as Jack Horvath, Link Baker as Mark Riley, Anja Savcic as Kira Stine, Gia Sandhu as Beth, Robin Weigert as Teddi Bruin, and Bradley Stryker as Tom Tozer.

CBS released a 2-minute trailer for ‘Tracker’ on its YouTube channel in January 2024. The trailer introduces the enigma of Colter Shaw, a man constantly on the run. The action-packed trailer presents him as a cunning, smooth-talking man. ‘Tracker’ shows that Shaw can get to the bottom of any mystery. He is also assisted by his eccentric group of assistants, including the hacker extraordinaire Bob Exley.
