Tory leadership hopeful Boris Johnson flogging off marital home for £3.8m amid divorce

Divorcing Tory love cheat Boris Johnson has put his former family home in London on the market for £3.75million.

He had shared the five-floor, Grade-II listed Georgian pad in Islington with estranged barrister wife Marina Wheeler.

The couple, who have four kids, revealed their split last September and the four-bed house is being sold by estate agent Chestertons.

It was advertised for rent earlier this year at £2,000 a week but it is unclear if tenants ever moved in.

Hopeful Boris has his eyes on all the prizes with plans to sell his mansion for millions and become PM

The property changed hands for £1.9million in December 2005, records show. It is not known if this is when Mr Johnson bought it.

He is now dating former Tory spin chief Carrie Symonds and is thought to spend several nights a week
at her South London flat.

He also stays at his country home in Thame, Oxon.

When he quit as Foreign Secretary last year in protest at the PM’s Brexit deal, he was blasted for spending three weeks squatting in the post’s grace-and-favour mansion.

Meanwhile, Mr Johnson – who yesterday opened an outdoor gym at a primary school in Uxbridge, West London – is ahead of his Tory leadership rivals on fundraising.

He is 11/4 to succeed Theresa May and has had £130,000 of donations and a £20,000 loan with parliamentary authorities in the past year.
