Commuting by train can be the best way to get to work for many people, but it can also take its toll both on your wallet and your mental health. Additionally, people can spend a signifiant amount of their day on the train each day, so what are a few of the best ways to use this time?

Listen to a Podcast

One of the best uses of time when commuting on the train is simply to listen to a podcast. There are endless options available, so it should not be too hard to find something that will keep you interested, put you in a good mood and possibly even enrich your life.

Meditate

Commuting (and working) can be stressful, but you could greatly reduce your stress and improve your focus throughout the day by meditating on the train. This does not have to involve sitting cross-legged on the floor of the train as you can meditate anywhere and you might find that it has a huge impact on your mood when you arrive at work.

Learn a New Language

If you are looking for a productive use of time during your commute that does not involve work (more on this below), you could use the time to learn a new language.
