Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel wants to return to England and would be keen on speaking to Manchester United over succeeding Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag is likely to be sacked at the end of the season, despite guiding United to a second consecutive FA Cup final on Sunday.

But the nature of the win, in which United threw away a 3-0 lead and needed penalties to beat a Championship side, has done little to quieten the noise surrounding Ten Hag’s future.

Options are relatively thin on the ground, particularly as the likes of Bayern, Barcelona and Liverpool are already searching for new managers.

But Tuchel is said to have ‘admirers’ within United’s new set-up, headed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

According to ESPN, the German would be keen on speaking to United if they are to sack Ten Hag.

United have been asked to be kept in form about Tuchel’s future, particularly as he’s attracting interest from Barcelona.

But Tuchel would prefer a return to England, following his successful stint with Chelsea.

The German guided Chelsea to the Champions League in 2021, beating rivals Manchester City in the final in Porto.

He claimed three trophies in 20 months at the club, including the Super Cup and Club World Cup.
