TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — An adorable little puppy was found inside a stolen car recovered Tuesday as it rolled down an East Topeka alley.
According to the Topeka Police Dept., officers found the unoccupied car around 3:15 p.m. coasting with its doors open down the alley near SE 4th and SE Lawrence St.
The officer who spotted the vehicle did not see anyone fleeing from the vehicle, police say, so they did not have a good suspect description. No arrests in connection with the theft have been made.
When the officer, along with members of Kansas Capitol Police, went to investigate, they found a little brown puppy still in the car.
The little fella was picked up by Animal Control and taken to Helping Hands Humane Society. 13 NEWS has reached out to the shelter to see if the pup has since been picked up.
