Texas Tech at TCU odds, picks and predictions – Enterprise News

The No. 15 Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-3, 5-1 Big 12) head to Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena for a conference clash with the No. 25 TCU Horned Frogs (15-5, 4-3) Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Texas Tech vs. TCU odds as we make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.

Texas Tech, which is No. 15 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, has beaten back-to-back top-25 opponents coming into this game. Its latest victory came down to the wire Saturday against the No. 24 Oklahoma Sooners, 85-84. It won the game outright as a 3.5-point underdog, and the Over (140) hit. Junior G Chance McMillian came off the bench to lead the Red Raiders in scoring with 27 points. He made 6 of the team’s 9 threes in the game. This will be their 4th straight ranked opponent, 3 of which have been on the road.

The No. 25 Horned Frogs won a triple-overtime thriller over the No. 18 Baylor Bears Saturday, 105-102. TCU won outright as a 4-point underdog and obviously went way over the 148.5 total. Senior G Jameer Nelson Jr. scored a season-high 30 points, including the go-ahead shot with 10 seconds left in the game. Senior F Emanuel Miller scored 21 points and G Micah Peavy contributed 18 for TCU in the program’s 1st game to go this long since a 104-96 loss in triple OT at West Virginia Feb. 26, 2019.

TCU has won the last 3 meetings against Texas Texas, including their most recent matchup Feb. 25, 2023, 83-82. The Horned Frogs won the game outright as 2-point underdogs, and the Over (144.5) hit.

Texas Tech at TCU picks and predictions

Texas Tech 77, TCU 75

The Horned Frogs are a very good team, but I see this Red Raiders team as battle tested. This will be its 4th game in a row against a top-25 opponent, and it is 11-1 since the beginning of December. TCU should also be mentally and physically exhausted after its triple-overtime win on Saturday over Baylor. Texas Tech will break TCU’s 3-game win streak on Tuesday night.

Against the spread

BET TEXAS TECH +4.5 (-105).

I obviously think the Red Raiders will win this game outright, so I’m going to also like taking them getting points on the road. They have covered 6 of their last 8 games, including their last 2 against top-25 opponents.

This can be a safer option for you to bet if you don’t trust the moneyline.

I’m going to keep my bets to the moneyline and spread because I don’t see a clear advantage with the total. These teams are a combined 23-16 when it comes to going Over.
