TESCO is selling gin gift sets worth £15.50 for just £2.80 in store and they’d be perfect for Christmas presents.
The Whitley Neill Flavour Selection contains three different flavoured gins each in a 5cl bottle; a rhubarb and ginger gin inspired by England, a raspberry gin inspired by Scotland, and a parma violet gin inspired by Italy.
Sets have been reduced to £2.80 for the three miniature bottles in selected stores, although Tesco has confirmed it only has very limited stock in a small number of shops.
The gift sets are out of stock online at Tesco, so it’s best to check for stock while you’re doing your usual shop rather than making a special trip and being left disappointed. Use Tesco’s store locator tool to find your nearest.
It’s unclear how much the sets originally cost – The Sun has asked Tesco and we’ll update this story as soon as we get a response – but Amazon is selling the same set for £15.50, plus £4.49 delivery (it’s free on orders over £20).
And others are keen to get their hands on them too with the post racking up 2,700 likes and 2,300 comments.
One person commented: “Bloody hell! I just bought it for a Christmas pressie and it was £15!
Another wrote: “Don’t reckon they’ll have any in town but we should keep an eye out!” While someone else said: “£5.80 in my Tesco clearance.”
Online, Tesco has reduced the price of 70cl bottles of Whitley Neill’s raspberry and rhubarb gins from £26 to £20. That would make it £1.42 for 5cl or £4.28 for 15cl – so you’re saving money with the gift sets.
Meanwhile, a similar Sipsmith gin set with three 5cl flavoured bottles costs £10 on Amazon, plus £4.49 delivery.
In other gin news, Aldi launched seven new flavours this summer including lemon sherbet, rhubarb and custard, and strawberry marshmallow.
And Lidl has released ten new gins including a seaweed and ocean flavour.
Meanwhile, Gordon’s now does Sicilian lemon and peach flavoured gin.
