A list of the UK’s top 20 businesses launched in the last 20 years has been revealed to mark the 20th anniversary of Startups.co.uk. 

The list celebrates alumni that have transformed the way we live, work, bank and communicate. Iis dominated by technology firms and includes alternative energy providers, modern banking, geolocation finders, food and online fundraising. 

“The Startups 20 isn’t just an index of big UK businesses, it’s a snapshot of two decades of change,” said editor Bryn Glover.  

“From the start of the new millennium to COVID in 2020, so much can change and in so many cases these businesses have helped to lead the charge. 

“Business is always evolving, and we’re proud to have seen these companies grow over the years from simple ideas into – in some cases – multi-billion-pound organisations.”
