Electric dreams

Blending modern innovation with a dose of retro, Honda’s little electric car is all kinds of endearing. A couple of 12.3in digital touchscreens take centre stage in the dashboard, and there are digital cameras over traditional wing mirrors, on-board wi-fi and headlights loaded with LEDs. You can even plug in a games console. Prices start at £26,160.

Happy snappers

Excitement levels were high this week following the reveal of Sony’s long-awaited 12.1-megapixel Alpha A7s Mark III. In exchange for £3,799, this premium shooter offers improved ISO performance and real-time autofocus/tracking, plus a fully articulating touchscreen. Its ability to shoot 4K in the dark will impress, as will the new finger-friendly menu system. Sony says it is the best 4K camera it has ever made. Available September.

Hopefully its smaller sibling, the Duo, doesn’t suffer the same fate.
