SUPERMARKETS including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Lidl have slashed the price of kids Halloween costumes ahead of fright night.

The spooky event may not be the same as normal but there’s nothing stopping you from getting dressed up to mark the occasion anyway.

Trick or treating is on the cards for children in Tiers 1 and 2 lockdown after Downing Street gave the nod yesterday as long as they follow the rules.

Unfortunately, kids in Tier 3 local lockdown won’t be able to carry out the tradition amid a ban on households mixing.

But families can still celebrate All Hallows’ Eve at home by putting on their creepiest outfit and trying out some of these devilishly delicious treats.

Many retailers have slashed the price of costumes this year by up to 96%.

The deals can be found in stores and online but there’s a minimum spend of £40 for online orders, with delivery slots starting from £1.

Morrisons has cut prices of kids spooky costumes by up to 60% online but one bargain hunter managed to snap up an outfit for just 40p in her local store – a saving of up to 96%.

Originally, the supermarket priced its costumes at £10 each but reduced these to £4. Some shoppers have reported even bigger discounts in store.

The costumes have now sold out online so it’s worth heading to your local branch to pick up a bargain.
