Southbound 15 Freeway ramps to close in Corona, Lake Elsinore – Press-Enterprise

Entering the 15 Freeway from side roads in Riverside County will be challenging this weekend in a couple of places.

Two on-ramps to the southbound 15 — one in the Corona-Norco area and one in Lake Elsinore — will close all weekend for construction, a Riverside County Transportation Commission news release states.

A full closure of the southbound on-ramp at Railroad Canyon Road in Lake Elsinore is set to begin Friday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. and conclude Monday, Jan. 11, at 4 a.m., the release stated. The closures will allow crews to do paving. The work is part of an interchange expansion project.

The southbound Railroad Canyon off-ramp also is scheduled to shut Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The second weekend-long closure of a southbound 15 on-ramp will take place at Hidden Valley Parkway on the border of Corona and Norco from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the release stated. That closure is being triggered by drainage repairs in connection with the 15 Freeway toll-lane project.

In addition, the connector linking southbound 15 with the westbound 91 Freeway is scheduled to close Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
