Samsung’s Galaxy S20+ on Sale for $950 – PCMag.com

Readying yourself for the upcoming 5G wireless communications transition? Samsung’s compatible Galaxy S20+ smartphone—a PCMag Editors’ Choice—is currently 20 percent off at Best Buy. Activate an unlocked version of the device today for $949.99—$250 off its retail price of $1,199.99.

Middle child of Samsung’s new family, the S20+ boasts multi-band 5G and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor fast enough to power the 120Hz screen, multi-camera system, and intelligent battery. Though smaller than big bro S20 Ultra, the Plus stands tall with a 6.7-inch, 2,120-by-1,440 AMOLED screen, ideal for watching videos, scrolling through photos, and playing games.

On the back you’ll find the multi-perspective camera, which adjusts the view and focus, automatically applies settings, and lets you zoom in far enough to capture every detail—”even on the Moon,” according to the manufacturer. A front-facing 10-megapixel shooter makes it easy to take selfies and do video calls.

“The cameras, in general, are all better than the ones on last year’s Galaxy S10 series,” PCMag’s lead mobile analyst Sascha Segan wrote in a review, highlighting the adjustable multi-frame night mode and 3x zoom lens. “The Galaxy S20+ image, at 4x and at night, is noticeably better than the Galaxy Note 10+.”

The phone also has wireless charging and reverse charging, so you can juice up watches and earbuds on its back. And while there is (of course) no headphone jack, Samsung provides a set of USB-C earbuds.

“There will be more phones this year that will support the full range of 5G technologies,” Segan said. “At the moment, though, the Galaxy S20+ is your best two-to-three-year investment in a phone.”

Take our advice and grab an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G smartphone with 128GB storage for $949.99—compatible with all major U.S. carriers (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile) and prepaid carriers (Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Simple Mobile, Total Wireless, Tracfone, Net10, Mint, H2O).
