Samsung will launch the new 5G smartphone Samsung Galaxy M525G in India on September 28th. The sale will take place at 12:00 pm (noon) and sales may start on the same day via Samsung Channel and Amazon. The company has also set up a dedicated microsite on Amazon to highlight triple rear cameras and hole punch displays. The Samsung Galaxy M525G is 7.4mm thick, thinner than the Galaxy S21 5G (7.9mm). The Amazon list also shows that the phone has a 120Hz display. This is a very rare feat for a mid-budget Samsung smartphone. It also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 chipset, a 64-megapixel primary rear camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera. In addition, the phone gets at least a light blue color option and 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage.
Prior to the official, the Samsung Galaxy M525G was reportedly discovered by a Polish retailer. The phone is said to have a 6.7-inch Full-HD + Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. Apart from the 64-megapixel primary sensor, the rear camera system is reportedly equipped with a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro shooter. Other rumored features include 8GB RAM option, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS / A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It can be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and does not include a charger.
Samsung is adding 5G-connected smartphones to more mid-budget smartphones to compete with Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, Realme and OnePlus, which dominate the market not only in India but around the world. Currently, the most affordable 5G-enabled Samsung phones in India are the Galaxy M32 5G, Galaxy M42 5G, and Galaxy A52s 5G. Pricing details for the new Samsung Galaxy M52 5G remain unknown, and details from Samsung are expected to be near the launch date.
