  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

As they showed in the last round, under Jose Mourinho Roma know how to grind out wins.

    Classic Jose tactics.

Less possession, dug in deep, got their chance and scored.

It leaves it all to do for Feyenoord.

  • HT: Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

The referee brings the half to an end.

Nicolo Zaniolo, with his sixth goal of the competition, is the man who separates the two teams.

And what a great finish it was as well.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

45+3. Roma are knocking the ball around to run down the clock.

Game management I believe the pundits call it.

Feyenoord pile forward again on the counter, this time winning a corner.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

45+2. Ibanez is receiving some treatment after Patricio clattered him.

Would always prefer to see my keeper with his eye on the ball.

The ex-Wolves keeper keen to get his hands on a winner’s medal this evening.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    45. The goal has really picked this Roma side up in all areas.

They are first to the second ball most of the time now and if they are not, they hassle their opponent until they win it back.

Nelson tries to get a shot away from the edge of the box but Roma block the shot.

We will have four additional minutes added.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    43. Zaniolo does well to win a corner for Roma on the byline faced with two Feyenoord defenders.

Cristante flicks the corner on and the Dutch side clear.

They look to counter quickly but again a stray final pass gifts Roma possession again.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    41. Arne Slot will be disappointed with what he has seen.

Possession is being bossed by his team but their is no creativity in the final third.

Kökçü has their first shot on goal in the 41st minute, the ball swerves slightly and fools Patricio who gather at the second attempt.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    39. Roma are on the front foot again.

Moving the ball from one wing to the other.

Pellegrini is already covering a lot of ground for the Italians.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    37. Mourinho will be happy if his side keep this lead into the break.

He will have confidence in their ability to defend.

Feyenoord to come at the Italians more now.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    35. Roma are growing in confidence.

That goal has given the motivation to start playing their game.

Abraham looks up for this game.

  • Roma 1-0 Feyenoord

    33. Huge goal in this final.

Great play by Zaniolo once he chested the ball to react and get there before the onrushing goalkeeper to dink it over him.

VAR is happy the goal should stand after some claims for offside.

  • Goal – Nicolo Zaniolo (Roma)

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    31. Patient build-up play is a mark of a Mourinho team.

Like in so many of their games this season, they know they only need one chance to land the sucker punch to hurt the opposition.

Thirty minutes in and no gloves have been hurt in the making of this production.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    29. Slot seems to be frustrated on the sideline.

His team are sitting off more and inviting Roma to thread balls.

The Giallorossi only need one of these to drop to Abraham.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    27. Tammy Abraham is being brought into the game more and more.

This time he cushions a header down into the path of Zaniolo.

The Italian forward could not get onto the end of it.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord – yellow card Trauner

    25. Pellegrini plays a pass on the outside of his foot and almost finds his target.

Zaniolo made a run off the shoulder of the last defender.

Unable to get a telling touch on this occasion.

Trauner is penalised for bringing Tammy Abraham down.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    23. Mourinho winning by a single goal.

A sight seen on so many betting slips up and down the land over the years.

Unless Feyenoord can do something with their pressure we may see this happening all over again.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    21. Mancini is penalised for a foul.

    Feyenoord send players flooding forward.

Nelson is causing problems down the right flank.

Roma’s fans are all that can be heard.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    19. The Dutch are knocking on the door here.

Their high pressing is causing errors in the Roma midfield.

A sliced effort doesn’t even trouble the Italian’s goal.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    17. Looks like Oliveira is going to replace Mkhitaryan.

Not what Jose would have planned for so early on in this game.

Feyenoord continue playing their passing game.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    15. Neither side has tested the opposing keeper as yet.

The more Roma attack, this suits Slot’s side.

Enabling them to counter at pace, stretching Roma all over the pitch.

Mkhitaryan seems injured and unable to continue.

Rotten luck for the Roma playmaker, a season hampered by injuries.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    13. Feyenoord are still trying to play a high-tempo game.

They look comfortable on the ball but are keen to attack Roma with pace.

Just the final ball lacking at the moment.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    11. These are two huge football clubs going head to head in UEFA’s first Conference League final.

The third-tier competition could not have hoped for such household names to be gracing the showpiece.

Roma are trying to slow the game down in possession to frustrate the Dutch side.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    9. Roma manage to fashion some sort of pressure for the first time.

Abraham breaks the line with a run but there is just too much on it.

The Italians manage to keep the ball in cross into a dangerous area but Feyenoord clear their lines.

  • Roma 0-0 Feyenoord

    7. Slot stands on the touchline barking orders to his players.

He seems to have set his side out tactically well to prevent Roma from being able to dominate the game.

The Italians are struggling with the Dutch high press.
