The following are being sought on arrest warrants, according to various sheriff’s departments. The addresses listed are the last known addresses provided by the warrants and may be outdated.

• Jami D. Carter, 40, of 705 Finley St. is being sought on a warrant accusing her of violating probation on charages of possession of methamphetamine.

She is a white female standing 5 foot 2 and weighing 135 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.


• Steven M.T. Waid, 25, of 1499 Palmyra Road, Greenfield, is being sought on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a charge of aggravated sexual abuse.

He is a white male standing 5 foot 4 and weighing 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Tyler A. Stewart, 34, of 918 E. Independence St. was arrested at 1:20 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after a deputy reported finding drugs in his possession in the Morgan County jail.


Jacksonville Police

THEFTS, BURGLARIES

• A woman took plants from Midland Farm & Home Supply at 1205 W. Morton Ave. about 1:33 p.m. Friday without paying for them.

• About $400 cash and a necklace valued at $1,600 were taken between 1 and 2:20 a.m. Friday from a residence in the 200 block of West Morgan Street.

OTHER REPORTS

• Police are investigating a report that someone used counterfeit money to buy a cellphone at 8:35 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of West Walnut Street.
