Born on April 7, 1983, Philip Portman is a serial entrepreneur based in Michigan and the founder of Textdrip, an insurance, mortgage, real estate, and solar sales texting platform. He has founded several businesses and assisted other entrepreneurs in pursuing their dreams. Portman attended college, but it did not work out for him so he planned to go on a different journey. Being a skilled individual with strong beliefs and ambitions for the future, he always admired the freedom that entrepreneurship offers to people. As a result, he decided to explore his entrepreneurial skills.
Portman’s career choices resulted in numerous rewarding experiences, out of which the most rewarding experience was hearing from people who believe that he helped them get through difficult times. He built many businesses from the ground up, Textdrip, being one of them is a software development company founded by Portman in 2019. The primary function of the company is to provide the best deliverability of any texting service for business texting. It is an insurance, mortgage, real estate, and solar sales texting platform, that offers Web, iOS, and Android applications.
His ambition is to continue assisting and inspiring others as Portman wants to show people that life doesn’t have to be so difficult, running a business can be enjoyable, and that one can follow his dreams! Portman firmly believes that one doesn’t have to be stressed or overwhelmed because he believes achieving a goal will require too much time or energy, instead, he should believe in all the possibilities that entrepreneurship has to offer.
According to him, he has never been motivated by money and it has always been a byproduct of the things he has accomplished or problems he has solved. When Portman first launched Argosautomation.com and Textdrip.com, he offered both platforms for free. Rather than making money, he was interested in figuring out how to solve a problem. What Portman like best about his job is seeing the company grow and being able to hire more people. When he first started the company, there were only four employees, including himself. But with time, it has now grown to an estimated more than 30 people. His goal is to progressively expand so that he can hire more talent and provide them with the opportunity to showcase themselves.
Portman founded Argos Automation in 2018, a software development firm that offers customers a user-friendly interface for dealing with and managing clients. The software encourages people to keep moving forward. When the user is taking a break or on the phone with a client, they can set the program to run automatically. It can be run in a variety of ways to boost productivity, reduce downtime, and make work more enjoyable. All of the services aim to make it simple to market to customers via texting and automation. Portman is also the creator of Success Is, a podcast-based show that airs on social media platforms and features esteemed guests who are interviewed about their lives and businesses.
Later in 2022, Portman founded Landline Remover, a SaaS (Software as a Service) company that separates mobile and landline numbers. In 2021, RecruitDrip, a recruiting and staffing sub-branch, was established. For recruiters who want to automate their work and find great talent faster, RecruitDrip offers a powerful text message-based Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
