Paris: French police clash with protesters opposed to COVID health pass, use tear gas and water cannons


Clashes erupted in Paris between riot police and protesters at a march against coronavirus passes that will be needed to enter restaurants and other venues. Some 3,000 security forces were deployed around the French capital for a third weekend of protests against the pass. Burning flares and tear gas smoke could be seen at the rally, and security forces fired water cannon to disperse protesters. There were several injuries.
