Outrage as Lidl’s Peppa Pig loo roll doesn’t actually feature the cartoon


SHOPPERS are kicking up a stink about Lidl’s Peppa Pig loo roll — because the cartoon character is not on the sheets.

The packaging for the £1.79 four-roll pack shows the Prime Minister’s favourite kids’ TV show.

But the actual paper only features images of planes, trains and cars.

Customers complained of feeling “very misled”.

One posted on Lidl’s Facebook page: “Missing in action . . . purchased five packs of Peppa Pig toilet roll for grandkids . . . there are no Peppa Pigs on any of the toilet rolls . . . only on the outside packaging.”

Another wrote: “There’s actually no Peppa on the rolls just a toy pattern . . . only Peppa on the pack.”

Boris Johnson revealed his admiration for Peppa Pig World during a rambling speech last year.

Lidl was approached for comment on the loo rolls.
