Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he has been impressed by January signing Amad Diallo since he began training with his new Manchester United team-mates.

The Red Devils agreed a deal with Atalanta to sign Diallo in October but the teenage winger did not arrive at Old Trafford until earlier this month due to paperwork issues.

Diallo, 19, made four appearances for Atalanta’s first-team and will hope to impress Solskjaer over the coming weeks, having started training with United this week.

Asked for his opinion on Diallo’s first few training sessions, Solskjaer said: ‘Amad has looked really comfortable and he’s settled in really well in training.

It shows how technically adept he is and, of course, we’ll give him time to settle and adjust, but hopefully we can see him on the pitch in not too long. He’s definitely done well in training.
