News Popular on Weekdays, Social Media on Weekends – BBJ – Budapest Business Journal

On behalf of the Digital Audience Measurement Council (DKT), the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) analyzed online audience measurement research conducted by Gemius Hungary, collecting the data related to the online media usage habits of Hungarians, writes media1.hu.

During the three months of the study, 5,326,984 people used a mobile device (phone or tablet), 4,503,436 PCs from home and 1,920,048 people read online content from the workplace.

This means that Internet users primarily consume content via mobile phones, while significant differences emerge between browsing at home and at work in the case of news sites, magazines, entertainment, social media, e-commerce and adult content.

Additionally, more people visit news sites and e-commerce websites on an average weekday than on weekends, when social media is more popular.
