New 2021 Jeep Compass comes with dual 10.1-inch screen system with Uconnect 5 system – New Jeep in town | The Economic Times
According to a ToI report, FCA India on Thursday unveiled the 2021 facelifted Jeep Compass. The SUV gets completely refreshed exterior, interior and comes with an enhanced in-cabin experience. Bookings will open by the end of January.
The interior of the Jeep Compass has been completely revised with a new dashboard design. The SUV now gets connected features, thanks to UConnect 5. Some of the key features inside include a dual 10.1-inch screen system with Uconnect 5 system (24 functionalities), modernized toggle to switch to Select Terrain 4WD and the redesigned console that has been moved upwards to be easily accessible. Jeep Compass also offers modern conveniences with wireless charging, electronic tailgate and front ventilated seats and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift is sharper-looking compared to its predecessor. The overall silhouette is retained, however, has been fine tuned in certain aspects. Jeep Compass now houses a 7-slat grille, with lovely trapezoidal alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and revised headlights.
The SUV comes with enhanced drivability as it now boasts features like a 360-degree camera to cover every blind spot. The new auto-hold feature is quite efficient as it eliminates foot fatigue by cutting down the need to control the car while it is stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic or a traffic signal. The newly added cruise control also increases the efficiency of the SUV. FCA said Jeep Compass comes with more than 50 safety features.
The Jeep Compass facelift remains mechanically unchanged under the hood here in India. That means it will continue with its 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel and 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard with both engines. Additionally, the petrol engine gets a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox while the diesel gets a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
