One of National Australia Bank’s most senior technology executives is leaving the lender, as staff prepare for a transformation led by incoming chief executive Ross McEwan.
NAB’s executive general manager, business enabling technology Yuri Misnik, who helped oversee one of the nation’s biggest technology budgets, stepped down on Monday, emails obtained by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age show.
“Yuri Misnik has decided to leave NAB to pursue the next stage of his career,” the email from NAB chief technology and operations officer Patrick Wright to the bank’s technology staff reads. “I want to thank Yuri for his significant to our transformation and launching our cloud journey.”
“This is a critical role for NAB and we will begin a thorough search for his replacement from candidates both inside and outside of the company.”
