A MUM has revealed how you can always skip the queue at the Disney theme parks.

The clever trick means parents don’t have to miss out or wait hours if visiting the parks with their kids.

Samantha Hicks, who runs an interiors account Our Victorian Home, posted about the sneaky method on her Instagram.

She wrote: “We found out today about the ‘baby switch’. Did you know you can skip the queue if one of you has to stay with the baby?”

Most of her followers said they had never heard of the clever trick.

The Walt Disney website explains in more detail how it works.

Also called the Rider Switch, they say: “If a child does not meet the height requirement or a Guest does not wish to board a particular attraction, no problem!

“With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction.

“When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the waiting adult can board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again.”

Guests just need to check with staff that the ride offers the switching method, who will then give a Ride Switch entitlement.

It can also be used at other Disney parks other than Disneyland Paris, with Disney World in Florida included.

Most rides are eligible for the clever trick, including the popular Splash Mountain, Frozen Ever After, Avatar Flight of Passage and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Other guests have shared their top tips on how to avoid long queues.

TikTok user feedmeimei explained in a video: “Some rides have a Buddy Pass system where if you have a party of 1-2, you ask for a Buddy Pass and you can go to a much shorter line.”

Another person said choosing the right time for each ride means you can avoid any queues too – they explained that guests should head to Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion or the Pirates of the Caribbean ride after 9:30pm, as there will be no queues.

Or you can pay for VIP tours to skip the queues, although they cost more than £500 an hour.

Disney has since replaced their much-loved Fast Passes – which let guests skip the queues – for a new Disney Genie+ service, the latest change launched in celebration of their 50th anniversary this year.
