Jurgen Klopp provides team news update ahead of Crystal Palace clash

While Liverpool continue to churn top talents out almost on a bimonthly basis, there is one teenager who looks ready to set the world alight.

Mateusz Musialowski might only just be 18 but the Polish youngster is unfazed by the hype to continues to swirl around him.

Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of the player, who can play across the front three as well as in attacking midfield.

It is the exact kind of versatility the German loves to see in his forwards and a first-team call-up must surely be in the manager’s thinking.

Musialowski has been described as a generational talent and one that the country of Poland are excited to see develop at a club such as Liverpool.

Mateusz Muaislowski’s ability to dribble past multiple opponents has wowed Liverpool coaches

What has grabbed the attention is his sensational dribbling ability and his knack of taking it around two or three players with extreme ease.

It has seen the youngster dubbed “the Polish Messi”, no pressure there then, but yet this has done little to knock him off his perch.

The 18-year-old continues to dominate in his age group and sent Liverpool to the next round of the FA Youth Cup with his brace against Burnley on Wednesday.

In the previous round, Musialowski had scored a hat-trick and his efforts have set up a tantalising tie with Chelsea, a real test of his abilities.

He has already played the young Blues in the Premier League 2, netting twice in a 4-3 defeat, and more goals will be on his mind ahead of their next clash.

But the former SMS Lodz ace is not just dismantling players his own age but those far more experienced, including one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the Liverpool teenager, compared to Lionel Messi

According to The Athletic, even Klopp was shouting “well done” after he left Fabinho bamboozled with one dribble – slipping the ball through his legs and nutmegging his senior teammate.

Back in August 2020, Liverpool beat Arsenal to Musialowski’s signature after impressing during a training camp during a visit to England.

Last year, he signed his first professional contract and is just the next step along what promises to be a glistening career after a magnificent rise through the youth levels.

Prior to his move to Merseyside at SMS Lodz, it was there where the teenager bagged 133 goals in 88 games back in Poland, who has admitted he wants to emulate Lionel Messi when he can.

After a similar-styled goal to the Argentine superstar against Newcastle last year, Musialowski admitted that he watches as much of the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner as possible.

“When I see the space, I just go for it. I have seen a lot of Lionel Messi goals like that, so I try to be like him and I want to repeat it,” he said.

A first-team debut awaits but with Klopp already handing opportunities to the likes of Kaide Gordon, Tyler Morton and Conor Bradley, it seems only a matter of time.
