Martin Lewis explains how to get £140 off energy bills – but it's 'not risen in 9 years'


It is expected that millions of households across the country will see their energy bills rise by 13 percent.

This rise is set to coincide with a falling income for Britons by around five percent, an expert has warned.

The five percent fall in income is set to mean a reduction of £1,000 a year.

The scheme opens for the winter on October 18, 2021, and does not impact the Cold Weather Payment or Winter Fuel Payment for anyone also taking advantage of those schemes.
