Marcos Rojo set to reunite with former Manchester United star as transfer talks begin

Newcastle United were said to be keen because of his ability to play at left-back as well as in the centre, whilst it was claimed Sheffield United had also shown an interest, along with two Spanish clubs.

With a contract of around £100,000 per week and with his injury track record, United might struggle to get Rojo off the books via a permanent move in January, unless they subsidised his wages.

Boca Juniors would provide Rojo with a chance to return home to Argentina and also link up with Tevez before his pending retirement.

Tevez scored 34 goals in 99 games during his two years at Manchester United, winning the Premier League both seasons and the Champions League in his first year at the club.
