Harry Kane

The England captain has made clear his desire to leave Tottenham in a bid to win major silverware, which has alluded him during his senior club career.

United were one of a few clubs credited with taking an interest in Kane’s situation at Spurs but are unlikely to do a deal this summer.

Kane is set for talks with Levy and new Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo when he returns to the club’s pre-season training in early August and will reportedly reiterate that he wants out.

The 27-year-old would likely be enamoured by a move to United, who are finally pushing for their first trophy in four years.

But if United were to go back in for Felix then it is unlikely that they would move for Kane, too.

That would narrow down Kane’s options to Chelsea and Manchester City, who will also want to sign the much younger Haaland.

Kane will turn 29 before the 2022-23 campaign, when it seems most likely that he will move, and his options are becoming scarcer.
