Man Utd 'face transfer competition' from Real Madrid for Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland

Manchester United could reportedly be heading towards a transfer battle with Real Madrid – as Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland are being targeted by both clubs.

Madrid are said to be preparing for a big summer in the transfer market at the end of the season and are keen on signing the pair.

The Mail report that the Los Blancos are ready to make their move, with Sancho alone valued at over £100 million.

United are also hopeful of persuading both players on a switch however, and will rival Madrid for their signatures.

Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho has become one of the most sought-after talents in world football as a number of clubs track his performance.

Sancho is a long-term target for both clubs

United and Madrid were interested in acquiring his services this summer, but were turned away by Dortmund who are reluctant to sell.

The Bundesliga club are aware that they are unlikely to keep hold of Sancho for much longer though, and are resigned to losing him, with a departure next summer possible.

Sancho, 19, has impressed in Germany since moving to the club from United’s rivals Man City in an £8 million deal in 2017.

Haaland meanwhile has shot to prominence after a busy campaign in front of goal which has seen him net 19 times in 16 appearances.

His three-goal haul against the Belgian club was his third treble of the season and made him the third-youngest player to score a debut hat-trick in the competition.

Haaland is the son of former Leeds and Man City midfielder Alfe-Inge, and has already admitted a move to the Premier League is his dream.

The 19-year-old is contracted to Salzburg until 2023 but with interest from United and Madrid heating up, it is likely he could be moving on sooner rather than later.
