Man Utd boss Solskjaer defended for snubbing Donny van de Beek with training ground claim


“Because the game [against Chelsea] stank to high heaven, it was a snooze fest beyond all snooze fests, and you look at it and football fans and football people always look at what you haven’t got in that side or whatever you haven’t got in your team as to the reasons why you are unsuccessful.

“Would it have made a great deal of difference in that particular game? I suspect it possibly may not have done.”

Ahead of the visit of RB Leipzig on Wednesday, Solskjaer insisted Van de Beek will play an important role this season.

Solskjaer said: “When players come into a new team, a new league it’s always going to be a time that he adapts.
