Lt. Gov. Husted to visit Miamisburg security firm participating in TechCred program – WHIO Radio


MIAMISBURG — Lt. Gov. Jon Husted is taking a tour of a high-tech cybersecurity firm in Miamisburg today.

The firm Secure Cyber Defense has benefited from Ohio’s TechCred program.

The TechCred program helps employers build a stronger workforce with the skills needed in a technology-infused economy.

With the TechCred program, businesses can identify skills that their employees need to advance in the industry and help them receive training for those skills.

Companies receive reimbursement for completed credentials. The state will provide up to $2,000 reimbursement per employee and up to $30,000 per employer in each application period, according to the state of Ohio.

Husted will tour Secure Cyber Defense at 2 p.m. today.
