Letter: Plenty of good news in downtown Oroville – Chico Enterprise-Record

It is encouraging to see the several recent news articles concerning all the good things that are happening in downtown Oroville.

Today’s article titled “The Axiom, Providing Dinner, More For Youths,” concerning The Axiom organization and its good works for Oroville’s youth is heartwarming. I had the pleasure of working directly with Krysi Riggs, Executive Director of The Axiom as well as with Robin Zanon, current President of the recently reorganized Oroville Downtown Business Association and Bud Tracy, longtime Oroville business champion, for eight months as we organized the recently approved Oroville Downtown Business Association Business Improvement District, (BID).

There is a sense of new life within the Oroville downtown area and much of it is due to the extraordinary commitment and energy of those individuals mentioned above as well as many other downtown business and property owners, too numerous to mention.

Stay tuned as the highly creative and colorful downtown civic beautification project reaches completion.

The City of Oroville and all Oroville community members have much to be thankful for during this holiday season due to business leaders such as Krysi Riggs and community betterment organizations such as The Axiom.
