The Collegiate Percussive Arts Society invites students to attend “Your Music Career vs. The Internet,” a lecture presented by Nashville-based drummer Tim Buell from 4:10-5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, in Janzen Hall, located in Room 128 of the Lewis E. Epley Jr. Band Hall. The event will focus on how aspiring musicians can leverage the power of the internet to make a living from the comfort of their own home.
Tim Buell has lived and worked in Nashville for over a decade. He has toured with Nashville based acts Gloriana and Jana Kramer, and has also received a degree in Commercial Music Performance from Belmont University. In addition to extensive touring and recording experience, Buell has transcribed content for some of the largest drum companies in the world. Buell’s lecture will focus on the techniques he has implemented to pivot his career from a touring musician to working from home.
