Labour conference: Reeves pledges 'first green chancellor'

Labour’s shadow chancellor has pledged to invest in “good jobs in the green industries of the future”.

Rachel Reeves said she would be a “responsible chancellor” and Britain’s “first green chancellor”.

She told the Labour conference that her party in government would “tax fairly, spend wisely, and get our economy firing on all cylinders”.
