Chelsea legend John Terry has said under-pressure manager Maurizio Sarri needs to make one key change in the Carabao Cup Final.
The former centre back believes French midfielder N’Golo Kante should be used in a more defensive position than he has been recently.
This would free up Italian star Jorginho to unlock the City defence, Terry said.
In recent weeks Sarri has deployed Kante in a more attacking position.
He told Sky Sports: “I’m not sure the formation [is the problem], I think it’s the personnel a little bit.
“Having played with N’Golo in front of me and having watched him in the World Cup, he’s been the best player in that position over the last two years.
“As a Chelsea fan I would love to see him back in there.”
And he continued: “Do I think Jorginho can then push forward and open up defences? Yes I do. So that would be my one tweak.”
Terry, now an assistant coach at Aston Villa, said Willian, Eden Hazard and Pedro are all potential match winners for Chelsea.
The Londoners will need to drastically improve following a 6-0 drubbing in the league by Pep Guardiola’s men.
