Iran seizes Israel-linked ship near Strait of Hormuz; IDF warns Tehran 'will bear the consequences'

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps seized an Israel-linked container ship near the Strait of Hormuz between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman on April 13. The seizure comes as Israel braces for a response to the suspected Israeli attack on Iran’s embassy in Syria on April 1. Italian-Swiss Shipping group MSC said in a statement that there were 25 crew members on board a container ship seized by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards in the Gulf. There are 17 Indians among 25 crew members on board, according to Delhi sources. IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari warned Iran that it “will bear the consequences for choosing to escalate the situation any further”.
