Indonesia's Indosat pursues evolution from telecom to tech company – Nikkei Asia


JAKARTA — Coming off a 2022 merger that bolstered its profits, Indonesia’s second-ranked wireless provider Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison is delving more into digital services as CEO Vikram Sinha seeks to turn it into a broader tech company.

This ambition is on display at the Marvelous Xperience Center that opened in July on the first floor of Indosat’s Jakarta headquarters. The facility showcases systems developed together with the likes of Google and Ericsson, in an effort to attract not only visitors from Indonesia and overseas, but also more business partners.
