A high-tech security motorbike and a quad bike for patrolling protected desert areas have been introduced at the ongoing hunting show in the Capital.

The Department of Criminal Security Patrols at the Abu Dhabi Police is displaying the bikes - equipped with the latest communication and surveillance systems - at their stand at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex).

What makes the new bikes special

. Can patrol desert areas that normal vehicles can’t reach

. Equipped with latest communication and surveillance systems

. Can detect illegal hunters and inform officers right away

The advanced security bikes are being used by cops for special patrol tasks in hard-to-reach areas of the desert, mainly to control illegal hunting and prevent other crimes.

“These are unique bikes that allow patrol officers to respond to incidents quickly and go to the protected areas of the desert that normal patrol vehicles can’t reach,” a police officer told Khaleej Times at Adihex.

“The bikes have been equipped with the latest technology and can even detect criminals, including those who are illegally hunting birds and animals from a long distance. Police officers on patrol are informed right away.”

The roll-out of the bikes is part of the force’s strategy to safeguard the desert, protect the environment, and ensure public safety and security.
