There were even suggestions that Inter were prepared to use former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen as part of a swap deal for Xhaka.
Now, though, it looks as though Inter manager Antonio Conte will instead try to sign N’Golo Kante from his former club Chelsea.

Impressive Saka sees transfer value rise sharply
Arsenal defender Bukayo Saka is among the top 10 players whose transfer values have increased the most over the course of 2020.
As unearthed by Casumo using Transfermarkt data, the versatile youngster’s value has risen from £11.7m to £36m – a huge increase of 207.7 per cent – thanks in part to his remarkable tally of 11 assists last season.
