Ghost Walk Riverside returns with scary Halloween fun – Press-Enterprise

Ghost Walk will bring scares and fun to downtown Riverside on Saturday night, Oct. 23, from its new location in White Park.

California Riverside Ballet is again presenting the two-day event, which began Friday night, Oct. 22. It’s the 30th installment and is dubbed “Ghost Walk Riverside: Dark Places.”

Using the park’s tall trees and plentiful foliage, organizers are promising “theatrical encounters with the ghostly, mystical and preternatural dark side of Riverside,” an email from the ballet company states.

California Riverside Ballet is joining with Riverside’s Poly and North high schools and Michael Eastman to stage the popular Halloween event. This year’s version will feature one walking tour, a half-mile loop. At the end, guests find a kids’ carnival, food court and beer garden. The park is at 3936 Chestnut St., Riverside.

“We’re very excited to be back in person, as are the students who are participating,” said Linda Jenkins, a California Riverside Ballet board member. “Our main goal was to do everything outdoors. We want everybody to be safe.”

Tickets are $15 for adults and children. Those 2 and under are free. Tickets are available online for tours between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Organizers encourage guests to buy them in advance.
