Fulham line up former FA Cup winner, 27, to replace Tosin Adarabioyo with defender set to leave on free transfer

FULHAM are looking at former Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu as a potential replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo.

Soyuncu is on loan at Turkish side Fenerbahce after finding opportunities limited at Atletico Madrid.

Centre-back Tosin, 26, is set to leave on a free transfer this summer, with Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle and West Ham all having him in their sights.

The Cottagers were among the clubs to show an interest when Soyuncu, 27, was made available for loan in January only six months after joining Atletico.

Fulham boss Marco Silva must be cute in the next transfer window because of the demands of Financial Fair Play rules.

The 55-cap Turkey international still has three years left on his Atletico contract.

The LaLiga club would prefer to sell outright but Fulham may find Atletico would do a loan with a view to a permanent deal.

A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for Adarabioyo this summer when his contract expires.

Spurs have been long-term admirers of the former Manchester City man.

Liverpool and AC Milan are also interested in Adarabioyo, having joined the race in recent weeks.

However, Newcastle currently lead the pack eyeing his signature and are closing in on the signing.

The Magpies have reportedly offered the defender a long-term deal at St. James’ Park.

Adarabioyo has made 20 Premier League appearances for the Cottagers this season, scoring twice from centre-back.

He has been a key man for Silva’s side since returning from a groin injury earlier in the campaign, but has missed Fulham’s last three matches.
