Friends of the Murrieta Library will hold sidewalk book sale – Press-Enterprise

The Friends of the Murrieta Library’s Corner Bookstore is open again and will hold a sidewalk overstock sale 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 26.

This used bookstore, at 39445 Los Alamos Road on the corner of Los Alamos and Whitewood roads, normally has three overstock sales per year. The Friends of the Murrieta Library had to skip the summer sale this year because of pandemic-related closures.

“Hundreds of books will be available, providing a wide range of choices for all,” Nancy Dixon, the bookstore’s volunteer manager, said in a news release

Hardbacks cost $1 and paperbacks are 25 cents. All proceeds will benefit Murrieta Public Library programs.

Coronavirus pandemic safety precautions will be in place, including sanitizing of books, counter tops and hands, and masks and social distancing are required.

The mission of the Friends of the Murrieta Library is to support the Murrieta Public Library through fundraising, advocacy and volunteerism and to promote awareness of and support for the library.

Volunteers and donations of used books are welcome. For information, call the bookstore at 951-677-5350 or go to www.murrietalibraryfriends.org.
