FIFA 21 EA Play: How to play the game early with a 10-hour trial

There will be no FIFA 21 Demo this year, so the earliest you’ll be able to play FIFA 21 is through EA Play.

EA Play is a subscription service that allows players on Xbox, PS4 and PC to play FIFA 21 early with a 10-hour trial period, and their progress also carries over when their full game becomes active upon release.

EA Play will allow fans to play FIFA 21 earlier than the Standard Edition of FIFA 21, which allows access the game from October 9. In addition, the Champions and Ultimate Edition of FIFA 21 gives players three days early access, allowing access to the game from October 6, but access through EA Play is even earlier than this.

EA Access has been renamed EA Play ahead of the launch of FIFA 21, with Origin Access also falling under the same umbrella as EA Play this year.

EA Play is a subscription service that costs £3.99 per-month or £19.99 annually for Xbox, PlayStation and PC. If you sign up for the service, you will get early access to select new releases for up to 10 hours of play time, unlimited access to The Play List and a 10% discount on EA digital purchases.

There’s also an EA Play Pro subscription, which costs £14.99 per-month or £89.99 annually, but this is only available for PC players. With EA Play Pro, you get early access to deluxe versions of new games, pro-level rewards and content, unlimited access to The Play List and a 10% discount on EA digital purchases.

EA Play will also give FIFA players a 10% discount on EA digital purchases including FIFA 21, FIFA points, and other games and content.

If you do decide to use EA Play to get 10 hours early access to FIFA 21, don’t forget that you will still have to purchase an edition of FIFA 21 to play the game after your 10-hour trial has expired.

FIFA 21 will be playable on the next-generation edition of gaming consoles, the Playstation 5 and the Xbox One Series X/S. These consoles will be released in November.

EA have also confirmed that when you purchase FIFA 21 on Xbox, PS4 or PC, you’ll have access to something called Dual Entitlement, which will enable you to upgrade your copy of FIFA 21 on PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X, at no extra cost.
