Feminine hygiene brand Sanfe raises $1 million in Series A funding

New Delhi: Sanfe, a maker of feminine hygiene products, has raised $1 million in a Series A funding round that saw the participation of LetsVenture, mCaffeine CEO Tarun Sharma and a clutch of angel investors including Ajay Garg, Arjun Vaidya and Dhimant Parekh.

The Delhi-based startup had in February last year raised $1 million from Shankar Naryanan, Rohit Chanana and Titan Capital, among others. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand into new markets and introduce new product lines.

Founded by 2018 by IIT Delhi graduates Archit Aggarwal and Harry Sehrawat, Sanfe sells products in intimate skincare, body grooming and period care segments. It recently brought on board actor Radhika Apte as brand ambassador.

“This year, we are going to scale up the business, build up a strong portfolio of products with new categories, to focus on customer experience, and problem-solving,” Sehrawat said.

According to LetsVenture’s Sunitha Ramaswamy, there is an upsurge in demand for feminine hygiene products, amid a boom in the direct-to-consumer space.

“We feel that the consumers’ needs are evolving and to meet those needs it is crucial to have a brand like Sanfe catering to unnoticed women’s needs,” she said.
